Will Fedora work on Compaq Presario 1266 Laptop?

Will Fedora work on Compaq Presario 1266 Laptop?

I have a Compaq Laptop and would like to see if the Fedora OS will work on this older laptop.

My goal is to use this laptop as a simple web browser, basic laptop.

BTW: I am a total newbie and know very little about Linux or Fedora. Not real techy, but willing to learn.

as long as itis a 233MHz or better with at least 64 MB, should be fine, of course faster processor/more memory is better. I looked up 1200 series laptop and found 600 MHz CPU so, you should be fine if that is what you have.
