Web Server HELP

Hello there i have just installed fedora and it is my first time working with linux so be gentle, i am trying to build a web server i have installed xampp and that is working when i go to the address localhost/ but cannot seem to access it from WAN have done this once before but have completely forgotten , i have so far port forwarded on my router port 80WAG354g) and disabled the firewall on linux. but still no luck. please help

Can you access you computer from the remote PC. Try the ping command to see whether the connection is ok.

Check that you are typing the correct webaddress. It should either be:
http://Ip-address/xampp [eg. http://10.3.2.65/xampp]
or
http://Hostname/xampp [eg. http://computer1/xampp]

Check the apache configuration file:httpd.conf
Listen 80[listen on port 80 of all ip-addresses]

Check that the file index.html/index.php is located correctly and is working.
