Upgrading using PreUpgrade question

Upgrading from ver10 to ver15. Using PreUpgrade. Upgrade completed, rebooted, at GRUB menu I choose "Upgrade to Fedora 15 (Lovelock)". It then takes me to a blue screen asking "What type of Media contains the installation image?" I choose "Hard Drive".
Then it asked to "Select Partition"

I tried a few of these options, but not able to get passed this. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

you can not "upgrade" from 10 to 15.Nor use "preupgrade" to skip 4 versions

back up your data
reformat the drive fedora 15 is to be installed on
Then install 15 from the dvd
15 is so different that 10 that upgrading from the dvd will not work
select the new install

Just to confirm that ...
Today I figured I should update my (valuable) Fedora 12 system. Preupgrade (to F15) said the system couldn't be upgraded (suggested too old).
So tried F12 -> F14 - same message. Hmmm.

Will do a clean install after I get all my config files (and /home) out to safety. Can wait till the weekend.

It would be nice if Fedora recognized this and gave me some sort of message. I may stay with 10 anyway.

since fedora1 the fedora-devs ONLY recommends upgrading to the NEXT version
and has NEVER recommended skipping versions

skipping a version in fedora will most likely not work , this is nothing new
and is very well documented .
It is also well documented that the BEST and RECOMMENDED upgrade path is a new and clean install .
( the fedora users recommend a new install)
fedora changes SO MANY things from one version to the next that "upgrading" is really not the best way

The dev's say one thing and the community says a different thing
