Unable to find 'cc' in your PATH, how do I add it?

I was trying to install the NVIDIA driver, when I got an error saying that it had to "Compile an interface for my kernel". I selected "OK" and then it says:

Cannot find 'cc' in your PATH. If you have 'cc' installed on your system, make sure that 'cc' is in your path.

How do I fix this?

Any help appreciated.

Hi, thanks for the speedy answer.

Where do I get the rpms from? I can only find gcc in .tar.bz2 formats.

Use “Add Applications” (i.e., installation CDs) or walk through http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...s/Fedora/RPMS/

To install gcc from .tar.bz2 formats
do

bunzip2 gcc.tar.bz2

this will convert .tar.bz2 into .tar format then do

tar -xvf gcc.tar

cd gcc.XXX
./configure
make
make install (as root)
make clean(want to save some space 'eh?)

Hope this helps :-)
