two monitors / two cfx-cards

using Core2 (test3). I have two grafic cards, an AGP ati radeon 9600XT and an old PCI matrox millenium g450. in the display settings I set my primary display to be a radeon 9600 pro (the xt is not listed). on the dual-head settings I selected the matrox card to be my second card and enabled the dual-head option. but it doesn't work. my second monitor stays dark. any ideas?

can you post your xf86comfig file? I have 2 cards and trying to get them to run in "expanded" mode and NOT 2 separate X sessions (which is what i have finally gotten to to do)...... I dont know how similar your fedora and my mandy are, but mandy uses the XF86Config-4 file and i was always editing the XF86Config file and wasnt getting anywhere. I hope i can help you, I havent as of yet to receive any advise on my posting either.
