Sticky alt-tab when switching apps

I recently installed Fedora Core 2. I don't know if it's FC2 problem or X.

Every time I press alt+tab to switch windows and release the keys, the task switcher doesn't leave. Instead, after letting go of alt+tab, I have to press the shift key to close the task switcher. This is really annoying.

Is there a way to disable this behavior? I can't find it anywhere in the Control Center of keyboard related configuration.

I found an alternative solution.

modmap lets me change the keyboard modifier map.

It seems like I can only use one ALT key assigned to mod1 at a time.

Since I have a habit of using the right ALT key for accessing menus and doing alt+tab, I remove Alt_L and add in Alt_R:

xmodmap -e "remove mod1 = Alt_L"
xmodmap -e "add mod1 = Alt_R"
