In an older version of Red Hat Linux, there was an applicaiton that allowed you to see which services started at which run-level. And it also allowed you to add, remove and change them. I think there was a graphical version and a command-line version. I can't rememebr the name.

If you know what I'm talking about, remind me of the names, and whether or not those appls are available in FC3.

For example, say I wanted to see which run-level sendmail started at. I could run this app and it would show me. It would also let me select which run-level to start sendmail at, or to disable it form starting at all. And not just sendmail, but any of the startup applicaitons.

I think its under system settings -> services not sure but it is definately there

chkconfig --list

will give you a listing. Just typing

chkconfig

shows the usage for adding, modifying and deleting.

James.Farrow had it right on with System Settings - > services. You can still use the setup from the command line I believe, and then select system services.
