Talking Setting Up Music Streaming Server

Hello everyone
Im totaly new to the Linux/Fedora world. Can some one please explain to me as if I was a 4 year old (respectivly LOL) how to setup a music streaming server step by step. I tried getting Icecast but i must be doing something wrong cause i cant even get it to work on an XP system, if anyone can send me an example of how the config is suppose to be setup on a XP system please feel free. I have fadora 6 on a server right now and if I need to buy 1 software that will do everything in one shoot please let me know. Thanks and happy new year

As far as online music straming is concerned, I personally use Jinzora. It's based on the LAMP platform (Linux, Apache, mySQL and PHP) and since all these packages are one yum download away (except for jinzora itself, which is available in a tar.gz archive), it's almost trivial to install.

I use it to organize the 9,000 songs in my MP3 collection and the whole family can play his/her favorite playlist from a centralized server in the living room, through a web interface.
