My screensaver will not turn on. It works with the "preview" test. IDK the terminal commands so is it just not starting on bootup? Is it one of those things you just have to install a different application than redhat gave you because it doesn't work? IDK where to start troubleshooting.
What distro/version are you using? You mention Redhat; do you mean RHEL or Fedora or something other?
What desktop environment/window manager are you using?
What screensaver application is installed?
And, yes, you may have to enter it in your list of startup applications.
Sorry maybe should have included that but I figured since that was all in my signature it would be redundant but noted I'll include it next time I have a question. As far as what screen saver application. Honestly don't know. Whatever comes by default On Fedora 35 mate. Redhat used to be really good at documenting everything but last couple releases I seem to not be able to find any useful documentation, even on the most basic of stuff most people need. Maybe I'm just getting worse.
