RPMs the names are confusing

How does one find out what an RPM package is on FC2 disc 4? The names don't really tell what the RPM package is.

In Mandrake a description is available when one high lights an RPM in the list. It tells you what the RPM will install.

I have only been using FC for about 2 or 3 weeks and I used Mandrake for about 1 year and 3 months

Over all I like FC better than Mandrake but I like the package install method better in Mandrake.

i presume you've not come across apt or yum yet? they'll do what urpmi does on mandrake. well worth a look.

if you want to find more information about an rpm directly, run "rpm -iqp blah.rpm" and it will print out the standard RPM information header.
