Resolution problem during Fedora 10 installation

Hello to all,

Yesterday i downloaded F10 beta, and i tried to install it, but i encounter problems with the installation.
In more detail, the problem is that anaconda's screen goes below my monitor (its half visible) and i cant continue the installation.

I had similar problem with F9, but i manage to fix it, by passing the option "linux resolution=1024x768" before boot.
Well the problem here is that i didn't find a way to pass this option at boot time.
The only option i have is to select install from DVD, and i can edit this by pressing TAB.
When i press TAB it gives me the command "vmlinuz .... " .
Where should i insert the "linux resolution=1024x768" option ??

Thx a lot !

I have a similar issue on multiple distros after install. I did not know I could pass a resolution param to the kernel though, I will try that.

I have a Dell 22" widescreen whos optimum resolution is 1680x1050 60hz. When X kicks in for the first time, my monitor goes blank (on DVI output) and says it cannot display the resolution and mentions its optimum resolution. I just assumed that somehow X was trying to go above my resolution, or put in a higher refresh rate. How can I tell if it's actually going too low? And where can I edit my X Org config to change that? I could not find anything under the .conf files in /etc/X11/

That beta is very faulty.

The installer is out of order

Wait for the final release or try to join Fedora testing

Best is to wait there are lot of problem, as usual the FEDORA is paving the way for the RED HAT crew by using people as guinea pigs! the best one is version, where I work they use it for teaching and working and so far they have not green light to move up!

The best way is not to let the installer detect the screen resolution ( disconect the monitor at the first steps of installation and then connect it back again)
