How do you get rid of the red hat icon on the applications tab in fedora core 3? I tried changing themes from blue curve to anything else, and that red hat stays. How can I get either the default gnome icon, or change it to something else? Cheers.
I think you can just remove the launcher w/ the hat and then right click the task bar and add a new launcher. Choose the application launcher w/ the gnome foot.

I tried it, but it gives me the same icon. Even in the selection menu that pops up, asking what you want to install on the menubar, the icon is a red hat. I can't escape it!
I changed the icon theme under the theme details screen of Theme. That worked for me and now i have a cool gnome paw instead of the redhat, but u need to restart user to make it work.
