Hello,
I have installed Fedora 16 (auto partitioning, so lvm), but one of the hdd is not already on thios system, so I deleted it from grub.cfg. When the os loads the monitor automatically turn off and turn on again in the step of logging..If i push the arrows of a keyboard it prints "recreate volatile files and direcotories" and reset the scale of the logo (the loading), so the loading of the os is verry slow. How can I fix the problem with the monitor powering off and whether the loading is slow, because of the lvm (I think to remove it and mount the partitions singly, what do you think)? Here is some info:
I don't think so. On the removed hdd there was a slackware installation. In the df in this post I see that there is swap, but can't see on which partition (/dev/...).
I think that the problem is arount the lvm, and I don't have need from it. SO how can I completely remove it and mount the partitions single. How can I understand which partition where is and so on?
I've seen this happen when the swap partition has gone missing. Was your swap partition on the hard disk that you've removed from the system?
The same problem occurred in my system. I have checked my /etc/fstab, in which the UUID of my swap partition is wrong. "ls -l /dev/disk/by-uuid" help me get the right UUID of my swap partition. I changed the UUID. Reboot ,and the prompt "Recreate Volatile Files and Directories" disappeared, boot is faster than ever!
My english is not so good, I hope my words above have illustrated my meaning.
Thank you!

Reason: spell error
The thread is old yet, but the problem is half solved. After clean install without LVM the system is very faster, but the monitor again turn off automatically, so I think that it's from inaproppriate drivers.
