Everytime i open openoffice , either through xterm or icon , no error messages show up, but the windows r always frozen . U cant do anything ,no input event ,and u must force to quit, any one knows how to fix it or what the problem is ?

I had experiences of OOffice hanging on me at the splash screen. I eventually found out that it was hanging because it was trying to connect to my CUPS server but could not get a response from it. You might want to check your firewall settings and your cups server or whatever OOffice might be trying to connect to.
