problem with printing in FC4

I'm having some problems with getting printing to work in FC4. I am using a network printer (CUPS) which works fine when printing from my co-workers' Linux box'. There are couple of problems, first of which is that I am not able to print from GNOME at all. The problem is that when I try to print for example from Firefox or OpenOffice the printer queue tool says "sending", but nothing actually gets to the printer. Second, when printing from command line with lpr , the PostScript document sometimes gets printed (but not always). For instance PS file generated by OpenOffice gets printed nicely, but PS file by Firefox doesn't. With Firefox' file something gets send to the printer, but printer only says "clearing buffer" and then goes back to "ready"-state.

The printer was added using GNOMEs printer configuration tool.

Any ideas or suggestions?

FC4 does not configure lpd by default for cups and it does no good to add a file to the xinet.d directory because xinet.d is not configured by default either ( I think it expects everyone to use dbus)

Solution is to use yum to install cups-lpd package, which also installs xinet.d
