Ok.. I installed fluxbox from yum. I changed the path in my .xinitrc file to exec /usr/bin/fluxbox and chmod 700

I logged out.. logged back in.. still Gnome! Soo.. I uninstalled Gnome completely... which im starting to think wasnt such a bright idea!

now I get my command line, I startx and fluxbox comes up! Great... well not so much..

If I move the mouse or hit a key on the keyboard it crashes x. The only errors that come up are the Failed to read: session.screen0

"waiting for x server to shutdown Free Font Path: FPE "unix/:7100" refcount is 2, should be 1; fixing.

Im not sure if this is an issue with my xorg.conf file ? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

First of all, install gnome using yum again. Just to make sure you've got A functioning gui. Now, change your init file again to point to gnome. Just before you log on, on the bottom of the screen there's a box which says 'options'. Choose your environment there and then click fluxbox and then choose 'set as default'. If you don't log on in graphical mode, edit your init file and set the runlevel to 5.
