Problem adding new disk in FC6 via system-config-lvm

Hi folks:

I just brought up a new FC6 system, and tried to add another HDD via system-config-lvm 1.0.18. On FC5, you could initialize the new disk, format the new filesystem, create a new VolGroup (if desired), and so on. With FC6, I can initialize the new drive (create partition), but that's where it ends. There's no way to format it, and add it to a Volume Group... Very strange.

Any ideas?
