Power button not safe now in FC11
Firefox keeps freezing everything (including my keys) in Fedora Core 11. All I can do is push the power button, but now I have to keep the power button held in to abruptly power down the pc. In Fedora Core 10 I was able to quickly push the power button and get it to safely power down. Can I enable this feature without re-compiling the kernel?
Try, System -> Preferences -> Power Management
Click on the General Tab and set the action you require for the "When the power button is pressed:" question.
I'm having the same issue, but this machine is my test web server, so I don't want to power it down... does anyone have an idea what's causing this in the first place? I'm not convinced its Firefox, because I hardly run that on this machine.
