Poor Graphics in Wine version 1.3.10 on Fedora 14 using x.org nouveau driver

Hi,
I'm using a remix of F14 called Fusion Linux. It's all the same as fedora14.

It's come preinstalled with xorg x11 nouveau driver. So, i'm not using Nvidia driver.

Now, the problem is that the graphics in wine application are really poor.
Fonts appear to be really hazy. See this image to get me better:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14472678/screenshot3.png

In earlier version of fedora and wine, i used nvidia driver. Graphics used to be good at that time.

So what do u guys think the problem is? I'm having no hint absolutely.
Kindly hep.

have you tried downloading winetricks and installing the corefonts package? also did you install the true type fonts package that came with your distro? otherwise you should install the propriety nVidia drivers

Thanks man! You're awesome. I did "winetricks corefonts" and there was a dramatic improvement. I must say that if earlier it was like 40% clear, then now it's 90% clear.

However there's still some minute glitch. I'm okay with that glitch but my main problem is that i'm using msoffice with pdf printer. So whatever pdfs i get also appear a little dirty.

So can you suggest some more fonts to install? I want it clear as in real windows, if that's possible.

thnx man for ur support.really.

But i think the problem is due to the driver. ttf were already installed.

Now i'm confused. I hate those proprietary nvidia drivers. They are just so incompatible. But i guess, i'll have to compromise. I know it's tough to write driver codes with no proper documentation available. Those xorg guys are doing just fine. I hope they will leave those proprietary drivers behind one day.

i've never had a problem with nVidia propriety drivers myself and seeing as they're written specifically for the OS by the manufacturer i see no reason not to use them, it's rare to have a manufacturer that is that supportive of linux so i think a little gratitude to nVidia is needed

Well, my point was that u can't control brightness directly using that brightness panel and all that stuff. Otherwise nvidia is just fine.
