PHP 5.04 on fedora 6, is it posible


Is it possible to run PHP 5.04 on fedora 6 ?
My webhost runs php 5.04 and for obvious reasons i need it on my local
workstation too. If you got some links or info on this please help

You could compile the packages you need from source.

Yes i know but maybe some things could brake (dependencies and stuff...) ?
And i think the repositories do it much faster (and better in my case).

For example the CentOS guys have php5 rpms to allow upgrade from php4 in several versions.

Well as far as I know, there are no php 5.0.4 rpms for FC6. You could try using FC5 rpms if they exist. If you compile all the packages you need from source, then there is very little chance of anything breaking.
