Nothing at shutdown?

Well I upgraded to FC4 from FC3 and so far it seems to be fine, I can't get my ipw2200 to work like FC3, but that is not what I am asking.

How come when I tell my computer to reboot, or halt I don't see anything going across the screen telling me if it shut down or not? Is there a way I can make that visable again?

Thanks

Easy way:

Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE keys

If kernel debuging enabled then you can also use (it must be enabled in /etc/sysctl.conf)

alt+sysrq_key+b (b for reboot)

By default second method is turned off so try the first one.

Well I think I am going to go back to FC3 because I am having quite a few problems, like when I try to shut it down it never does using both shutdown time now and halt. Upon booting it says that / was uncleanly unmounted and it has to do a check. Also It keeps freezing up on me having to shut it down by holding in the power button. So im not sure if its me or FC4 but I think im gonna go back to FC3.

Thanks for the help.
