minimize running pgm -> disappeared and nowhere to be found??
Dear all. I'm a newbie in linux.
Installed Fedora 6 on x86(32bit).
If I minimize a program, then it just disappears.
When I was once using RedHat 7.x or like that, there used to be a tab(on the bottom of the screen) showing what programs are running.
But on Fedora 6, I cannot bring back the minimized programs up. cannot find where it went.
For example, I start 'pirut' which is add/remove program tool.
and I see the pirut running on 'system monitor', but the status is sleeping,
and most importantly it does not show on the screen.
Q1. How do I bring those programs back up to the screen so that I can do something with it?
I had that happen on occasion on my Slackware system, and maybe a similar thing is happening to you:
Have a look in whatever you use to configure your "Desktop Settings & Appearance" type area. Investigate the way the taskbar and/or windows are displayed, particularly if you have multiple desktops or screens configured. Make sure you have checked such things as "Show minimized Windows on Taskbar" and "Show windows from other desktops" and stuff like that.
Any luck?
