making fedora 15a grub recognize other distros

i install debian 6 on /dev/sda1 (/) & /dev/sda2 (/home), win 7 on /dev/sda4, opensuse 11.4 on /dev/sda5, fedora 15a on /dev/sda6

but after fedora 14 installation (later preupgraded to 15a) does not detects the other distros accept for win 7.

what i have to do next?

on debian 6 i would simply run os-prober and update-grub but there's no os-prober package for fedora 14 nor 15a.

You either need to install grub2 in Fedora, or you need to reconfigure grub-pc in Debian to reinstall it to the MBR and take back control of the MBR from Fedora.

what i successfully done:
1. boot supergrub2 CD
2. choose detect any os
3. choose debian kernel (because debian got os-prober)
4. one booted into debian, i ran
Code:
os-prober
update-grub
grub-install /dev/sda
done.

i have the same problem.

i have ubuntu 11.04, debian 6, win 7 and i have recently installed fedora 15 and like in your case it sees only win7. than
i got onto fedora and mounted my debian partiton, maked it root and run grub-install. but this think only made the grub see debian, ubuntu and win7 again letting fedora out.

i tried what you have said. not exactly because i did not under stand what supergrub2 CD should be, but anyway i got on debian and tried os-prober and the command is invalid.

any other solutions?

make sure in your /etc/apt/sources.list have somthing like these:
Code:
deb http://security.debian.org/ squeeze/updates main
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ squeeze-updates main
deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian squeeze main contrib non-free
then run
Code:
aptitude update
aptitude install os-prober

i did that, but the problem persists. it cannot find it.
