make a deamon startup at boot time

I've compiled apache , postgreSQL on fedora2 and I have 2 script to start , stop service of 2 those deamon .
With apache , I have httpd script and I put it in /etc/init.d . But I don't know how to start it up at boot time , I don't want to try " service httpd start " each time my computer start . Other way is that I add into /etc/rc.d/rc one line as :
service httdp start

I know that something like chkconfig will fix this problem but when I tried chkconfig --add apache then the return was " service apache does not support chkconfig " . How to fix it ? help me ! !

No reason to get huffy, you're the one using fedora

Fedora startup is going to be like red hat.

try this

#cd /etc/init.d/
# cp /usr/local/apache2/bin/apachectl httpd
# cd /etc/rc.d/rc5.d/
# ln -s /etc/init.d/httpd S90httpd

Test in Fedora core 2 , service httpd apache2 ... run ok

I hope that you have luck
greetings !!
