Linux command line problem

Installed Vmware and it made a file as such:

/var/lib/vmware/Virtual Machines/Windows 98 .

If I try to run a command on command line it has problems.
with spaces in path between Virtual Machines and Windows 98
How do compensate for the spaces to get the command to run?

Jim

Use quotes
Code:
"/var/lib/vmware/Virtual Machines/Windows 98"

/var/lib/vmware/Virtual Machines/Windows 98

The command I'm trying to do is : chown root /var/lib/vmware/Virtual Machines/Windows 98

And it does not like the " "

You can escape the space with a backslash, like this:

chown root /var/lib/vmware/Virtual Machines/Windows\ 98
