Unhappy ispconfig's broken! this nut's forgotten passwords...can't log in...no critical data

after some success with LAMP & ispConfig, a holiday and return to work, i cannot log in. changing the user and administrator passwords (couldn't read the old ones) for their Fedora logins only exacerbated a bad situation; now, the page doesn't even load!

any sound advice to offer? i have root privelege on the data server and thus far, no databases have been created. am using Fedora Core 8 32-bit.
