I was using RH9, then installed lycoris to see how it worked out, now I was ready to install fedora, but when I put the cd in lycoris quickly catches and boots. I have gone into the bios and changed boot orders putting the cd rom as first, but this is not helping.
how can I kill lycoris so it does not boot, which files can I delete that will do this so I can get the cd rom to pick up?

One possibility is that the Fedora install CD is not bootable. This is the sort of behavior you get when you boot with a non-bootable CD in the CD-ROM. Try a few experiments with CDs that you know are bootable and CDs that you know are not bootable.
ok, the disk is bootable,
what I did, was I put in the windows xp cd, that started the install, so I could format the drive, after which I put in the yarrow 1 cd,
I got the message of "ntldr is missing',
found lots of help on that on the web, so I am now installing windows xp completely then I will try the yarrow 1 again.
thanks for your help
