how to add applications on FC6 without internet

Hi friends,
I have recently installed FC6 and does want to add more softwares within it , the ones provided on FC6 DVD. I click on Applocations>Add/Remove software and it tries to connect to internet, then i deactivated the intenet conection than it gave the error like canot find repository.Perhaps because of yum.
I do not want to update via yum internet , can yum take those from cd/dvd .
Pl. help me i have tried many things but still no headway,

u can manually install programs by
rpm -ivh [package name]
as root

Thanks for the response , yes i can do this but then whats the use of the graphical interface of FC6 .
I know i am using Linux and not windows but at least the interface available shold be used.

i barely use the graphical interface for such things ..
using command line is faster and more comforatable //at least for me//

the graphical installer must be okay ..any way using yum is much much easier at least u get through compiling errors and getting lost in the deps looking up ;-)

In FC5 you had to change the yum base repo to point at the cdrom drive instead of the internet, then you can use the package manager.
