Hot-key to kill apps?

Is there an easy way for me to kill any apps that get stuck and I cannot exit? Perhaps a hot-key? Thanks in advance.

I need a way to kill a fullscreen app when I cant get to command prompt. I know in mandrake it was Ctl-Alt-Esc.

Can't you ctrl+alt+F1-6 to get to a terminal?

From there kill the app then alt+F8 (I think? might be 9, try em) back to X

I'm sure there are simpler ways tho, if mandrake can do something it should be possible on other distros.

have you just tried hitting alt-F4? it works for me with window apps...most full-screen apps don't freeze on me so not much of a prob.
