Firefox...I have tried and tried...

But I just can't get the bloody thing to install. I was running the early version before without a problem, but 1.0 fails to do anything. I can extract the files, run the install, but when I click the next button after the proxy section the window closes. I did run it once and got that pango error....but that was only when I ran the installer-bin file instead...which I know now is wrong. So, any ideas?

Download the xft-gtk2 tarball, uncompress it in your home folder and then run the firefox script in the firefox folder.

Well if file-roller isn't working try using a command in a shell

tar xzf firefox-1.0PR-i686-linux-gtk2+xft.tar.gz
