fedora dvd iso? double layer dvd?

after searching for a long time and long time for downloading the dvd sio, i just found out that dvd iso is double layer dvd and cannot be burned to a dvd+rw, at least nero cannot do that. what the heck? who uses doble layer yet, at least it cost way more,
why did they make a doble layer iso anyways? this is really stupid, they do nto want people to use dvd install?

any solution to convert this to normal iso?
