Have you had the floppy work already on this fedora system, can you verify if the hardware is connected properly, possibly faulty hardware, does this floppy work while running different linux or Windows.
Have you tried more than one floppy disk?
Can you use a boot floppy to test the floppy drive?
Also try searching Google for 'mount floppy crash fedora'
my floppy drive works perfectly on win xp and also on suse linux. i have tried with different floppy disks but nothing changes. so it can't be a hardware problem. i have changed the position of "fd0" in fstab file (it was the last device of the list) and i have shifted it before che cd drives. after reboot i managed to read a floppy disk but once i have rebooted one more time the machine there was still that problem...
result? i am going to re-install suse!
