Fedora Core 2 will not initialize NIC

I'm currently running Fedora Core 2. Recently I've been getting the following error when booting and if I attempt to correct this as root on Gnome:

Interface 'eth0' not found
sis900 device eth0 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization.

I have a removable hard drive with Fedora on one drive and Windows on another. The network device works with Windows.

Is there a way to fix this?

run #kudzu -p [hardware detection wizard]
and see if it detects ur card...

if it detects ur card.. u can configure ur card from something like Gnome menu--> System [or settings]-->network

You could also try running "netconfig" as root in a terminal window to setup your network card

I'll give that a try.

I tried running Knoppix and kind of had the same problem. It would not connect to the internet. But with Knoppix, I'm not sure if it is setup correctly.
