I've just tried the 2.6 kernel and I have it loading and all of that but the differences in dealing with modules at the moment is giving me the "sal;fa" I can't say those words.

Anyways I'm going to keep at it but another thing that I have heard is that the kernel runs a method of checking for interupts every 1000th of a second now from what I heard desktop usage isn't an issue but if you are running a server of any sort it causes huge headache's well at least with game servers it does.

I don't know yet how to change it but when I do I'll try and post it up here. The reason for the change is to smooth things out since Red Hat have a tendency to bulk up every kernel to double the size of mandrake for instance.
