Cool Fedora 9: Problem occur during installing of madwifi

Dear viewers,

I just installed new FC9.

while I want to install my madwifi driver for my atheros wireless NIC, I found below problem when I type the command "make":

Quote:
[Adam@adam madwifi-0.9.4]$ make
/bin/sh: line 0: cd: /lib/modules/2.6.25-14.fc9.x86_64/build: No such file or directory

Makefile.inc:66: *** /lib/modules/2.6.25-14.fc9.x86_64/build is missing, please set KERNELPATH. Stop.

[Adam@adam madwifi-0.9.4]$
i've found the "build" file is missing from the suggested pathway.

can anyone suggest what can i do to solve this problem?

thanks!

I know this does not answer your question, but have you considered using the 'madwifi' RPM's from the Livna repository (http://rpm.livna.org)?

Hi mjmwired,
Thanks for the replied. Will let you know how is it works after my tried.

By the way, why would you think the problem might be solved while installing using RPMs?

Is it because RPM's doesn't need to go through any complier while the source does?
