fedora 2 unstable in the network

Hello,

I have a big problem with Fedora 2. I am not able to access to the network.
The only possibility to get a connection to other computers is by using the terminal and the smbclient.

Now I installed smb4k and sometimes it is possible to mount to other computers and sometimes it works, But often it is not possible to access anything. It is also not possible to close the smb4k window, even when I am using kill...

If this happens, it is also a problem with the shutdown.
I don't know what it is and where I have to change something.

Is there anybody who has some ideas?

Thank you for your help

Blumenmann

Hello blumenmann,

How have you configured your network machines to export data? Is it via. SMB, NFS, HTTP or any other method? Do you have ssh access to other machines? How are you accessing other machines in your network? Could you be more specific on the issue? It may not be a problem with the OS but your configuration of the file sharing service in the network. Please reply in detail so that we can dig it in more detail....

Thanks..
