Fedora 17 is a hardened or secure linux by default

Good day, I'd like to ask if Fedora 17 is a by default hardened linux distro? Security enhanced? It is important to me, I could do with learning how to find the info from the creators too. Otherwise I want to know how to start it up thanks.

...and in addition see http://www.awe.com/mark/blog/200801070918.html (old FC reference), https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/articles/65299 (as in F -> RHEL), http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/....html#id570657 (Release Notes for Fedora 17 / Security) and the "Fedora 17 New Security Feature.*" series at danwalsh.livejournal.com?

I am not sure I'd lump it into a secure or hardened by default group. It is a main stream choice full of applications that have holes in it.

This is just a list and not fully backed up by tests. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Securit...Hardened_Linux
