I have a new 2950 server with the PERC 5 raid controller, and I wanted to install FC4 on it as it has the version of MySQL that we need to support our current database, and hopefully will run the DB from ver 3 MySQL. The problem is I cannot find a device driver for the raid controller for FC4. I have read elsewhere that FC6 has the needed driver and will load and run on this server, however, FC6 has MySQL 5.0 which we don not want to use. Is it possible to install earlier versions of MySQL on FC6? Also has anything really changed between 4 and 6 in the way of file structure and locations? We are kinda used to where everything is installed and how it works in FC4 and would like to keep it that way.
