FC5 x86 64 v. i386, got an opinion?

Hi Everybody,

I am currently downloading FC5 x86 64. I will be putting it on its own partition because I have an FC4 installation that I want to keep. Because I have an AMD64 3400+ processor, I wanted to see what difference a 64 bit OS will make.

My question is: Am I going to see any significant differences between the two and will software be as readily available in 64 bit as it is in 32 bit FC4?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

hi,
As already stated in some other threads i am in support of 32 bit OS, as 32 bit Os works on 64 bit machine architecture also. My reasons are lack of availability of some softwares which i needs but they are not avail in 64 bit
e.g. Firefox plugins
