FC5, problem with ISO file

Hi!

I have downloaded and burned FC5, from ISO files, but disk checking before install fails on CD 1.

I have checked, and found that some of RPM files are damaged.

I have downloaded several ISO files, and still I have same problem.

Can you send me a link where I can download correct ISO files, or to suggest some solution how to skip this problem?

Maybe to download all RPM files, and to make my own instalation CD?

Thanx in advance!

hi,
whenever you download a iso you must check its sha1sum which is also uploaded to that location from which you r downloading. Its amy be because of some network problem each time you download some bytes may bemissing or making change in ISO file. SO better to firest check sha1sum and then burn it on CDs

Where did you download those files from ? Did you check the iso files against the SHA1SUMS (and the given SHA1SUM file pgp signature) before burning those iso ?

I guess the best place to get those files anyway is the official site where you will find mirrors, torrent links, etc...

If you can find an rsync mirror, try that (would have looked for one myself, but the Fedora site won't let me in, says too many people are connected at once). It is capable of only redownloading and correcting parts of a file that are corrupt, saving you having to redownload the whole thing.
