Fedora doesnt support NTFS in the kernel for some reason so you have 2 options.

1. Recompile the Kernel

2. Install the linux NTFS rpm from here:

http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/rpm/fedora3.html

You can then mount ntfs parts with:

mount -t ntfs /dev/<drive> /mnt/windoze

or put in your fstab something like:

/dev/<drive> /mnt/windoze ntfs ro,umask=0222 0 0

you probably don't want to try recompiling kernel unless you know what your doing, but there really isnt much need to anyway with the rpms :-)

Yes definitely do the second option - all the NTFS partitions appear in the /mnt folder - then just make a short cut and drag them to the desktop - it works a treat! Don't forget to add the fstab changes or you will have to mount them each time you boot up.

Cool, guys. I'lI try downloading the rpm, too. I just installed Fedora for the first time. I can't believe that they don't support ntfs by default. What a pain in the butt.

Yeh you dont need to recompile your kernel to use that RPM, I did it yesterday and it works fine!
