Same as you guys. I run yum update and it dls a new kernel. However when i run a new kernel it hangs indefinatly at detecting new hardware. I am kinda hesitent about just disabling kudzu though.
Here are my specs:
-Fedora Core 2 x86_64
-Athlon 64 3200+
-GForce4 Ti-4800 128MB
-Audigy 2 Platinum (maybe the audigy does this?)
-2 HDs (WD 200GB 8MB Buffer SATA & a Maxtor 200MB 8MB)
I get the same problem,
I just installed Fedora Core 2 and the up2date said I need to update so I updated and then I wanted to boot the new kernel but it frooze in probbing for new hardware...
Aha. It does appear to be the Audigy (at least for me). I'm successfully posting this message from the new kernel, though my Audigy is removed. What's up with that and how would I go about fixing it? When I put the card back in, it freezes at the same spot.
Edit: And is this something that should be reported somewhere or something if many of us are having the same problem?
I think the Fedora development team should know about this.
Note: I can't test this situation at the moment because I corrupted my Fedora drive in a ridiculously stupid way so since I had to put a new system on anyways I decided to try out Slackware 10. I'll get Fedora Core 3 when its out but for now no more Fedora for me.
