Eclipse Launch Extremely Slow in Fedora 12

Hi all,

After installing the latest Fedora 12, I tried to launch Eclipse with all default settings of Eclipse and OpenJDK. However the launching process is extremely slow by taking about 3 - 4 minutes to finish and the IDE window finally shows up. Strangely the launch process gives no error messages. The only problem is its unbearably slow speed.

Backgrounds: I have created an eclipse group and set the number of open files to 10240 in /etc/security/limits.conf. The software versions are the following:

eclipse-platform-3.5.1-4.fc12.i686
java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0-31.b16.fc12.i686

Great appreciation for any hints to solve this annoying problem. Thanks a lot!

I did some check and suspect that it may be the font searching problem. Something maybe wrong in /usr/lib/jvm/jre/lib/fontconfig*
