I've noticed that after installing VNC server on my Machine running FC6, a lot of process are being instantiated twice even more, of course taking all the memory from the computer.
For the most part I noticed that are Gnome process like:
At the moment I'm not even sure if it is VNC server, it is assumption because of the Gnome processes. If anyone has experienced please let me know or have an idea on how to fix it.
well if do you have a vnc session running, and that's running gnome, then certainly two copies of each core process will also run. what do you expect to happen here? if you're looking at just accessing the local service remotely, you don't install a vnc server, there are suitable vnc modules for that purpose in the xorg-x11 builds, if you google for "vnc xorg-x11"
I see what you are saying, this is my first time trying VNC on Linux, I just assumed that it will work like WinVnc. I looked for the module that you are refering and I got it.
win32 vnc *has* to work like that as the platform isn't advanced enough to be able to do anything else. There are many more options available on a proper client server based windowing system.
