Dependencies problems with package installer

I've made a minimal installation of FC3 on my AMD 64. Then I've run Up2date, updating every package. I later realized that there's a lot of stuff on the Fedora CDs that I need, so I've run the package installer. After selecting the packages I want, it shows a box, saying that glibc is not found and needed by glibc-common, that glibc-common is not found and needed by glibc, that vim is not found. Screenshot http img161.exs.cx/img161/9905/capture3ci.th.png.

And I've got this :
Code:
[root@localhost /]# rpm -qa | grep glibc
glibc-2.3.4-2.fc3
glibc-2.3.4-2.fc3
glibc-common-2.3.4-2.fc3
[root@localhost /]# rpm -qa | grep vim
vim-enhanced-6.3.054-0.fc3.1
vim-minimal-6.3.054-0.fc3.1
vim-common-6.3.054-0.fc3.1
The packages seem to be installed on the machine, but in a more recent version than the one on the CDs.
Is there anything I can do, apart from manually selecting and installing the packages ?

That screenshot is very small, but anyway:

you can install the packages from the CD by hand by navigating to the directory and doing an

rpm -i --no-deps

of the packages you want installed. Use this command only if you know for sure that the dependencies are satisfied.

This can lead to problems (some are known), because the package installer does not know about online updates. It doesn't recognize installed updates and gets confused.

It's more convenient to install additional packages with up2date or yum.
