Question dialup modem


I use dialup to connect Internet through internal modem. Win98, XP works were fine, but after installing Fedora 2 it must dial twise to get ISP. The system logs for two dailup
are:
First dialup

The first error doesn't seem good, to me. It would look like PPPD is waiting nearly 30 seconds for the remote computer to send it information about how to initialise a TCP/IP connection (the LCP bit). Normally I would say that this is not a good sign, but it does work on the second attempt. Strange.

have u tried any other dialers? like kppp in kde or the redhat supplied dialer ?
