CUPS preventing boot

Hi,

I've installed Fedora C3 on 2 HP X4000 servers. Kernel 2.6.9-1.667smp gives nog problems.
When I updated to 2.6.11-1.27smp the system would not boot anymore, hanging on the CUPS starting.
Same for 2.6.12-1.1380smp
When I disable CUPS as service (not starting it at boot time) there's no problem.
anybody a clue?
