These are some simple questions to answer, but things I have never done.
On RH9 and Core 1, if I double-clicked on a RPM package, it automatically asked me if I wanted to run it. Now in Core 2, it's asking me to associate an application to the .rpm file. I know how to associate applications, but there must be a command line or something to automatically run the .rpm because I tried associating it with RPM in the /bin folder and nothing happens when I double-click on it. Any suggestions?
Also, has anyone successfully setup a DLink DWL-122 wireless adapter. I can run through the "make config", "make all" and "make install" successfully, but after that I am not sure what to do. The readme isn't much help either.
Not sure about the DLink wireless adapater, but its usually better idea to install rpms from the command line, mainly because it shows you your dependencies
to upgrade a package
rpm -Uvh packagename.rpm
to install a package
rpm -ivh packagename.rpm
I usually do the upgrade even if the package isn't installed yet, is just good practice unless you dont' want it installed over the previous version.
