Question CD-ROM Problems

Hello everyone,

I just installed FC3 and got all the apps i wanted up and running, then, I put in an audio CD to rip. The "Audio Disc" icon shows up on my desktop, but when i run CD player, it says drive error.

When I started Grip, it says: Unable to initalize [/dev/cdrom/]

I looked in the file browser, and I couldn't find /dev/cdrom. Did something go bad in my install? What should I do??

Thanks in advance,
-ryan

Ide drives are:
/dev/hda
/dev/hdb
/dev/hdc
/dev/hdd

Try the command: eject /dev/hdb or c or d to see which one is your cdrom.
Then do a symlink. If it's hdc:
ln -s /dev/hdc /dev/cdrom
