I have Linspire and Slackware on one hard disc on my computer and I am trying to add Fedora 3 with a triple boot. The computer boots from Linspire's Lilo and I boot Slackware with a boot Floppy. I have been trying to boot Fedora by following the instructions on the slackware boot floppy, but after it loads it stops with the message:

Warning: unable to open an initial console. Attempt to access beyond end of device
03:01 RW=0, want 1219858868, limit 15446466

kernal panic: no ininit found.
try passing init=option to kernal


I have tried everything that I can think of, but I am not very skilled with linux yet. Can anyone give me a clue as to what I can do.

a) The floppy you are booting from may contain a HDD driver that can 'see' large HDDs

b) Why do you boot from floppy?

Why don't you just add Slackware and FC3 to the list of options for lilo?

Even better. I would recommend that you let FC3 install grub during installation

Then edit the /boot/grub/grub.conf file to add your other two distributions.

(just make sure that you knwo where the kernel image is in each one)
